Teaching, Learning and Evaluation
Area II – Teaching, Learning, and Evaluation focuses on the institution’s commitment to ensuring that academic programs, teaching practices, learning experiences, and assessment processes contribute to the achievement of intended educational outcomes. It reflects how DEBESMSCAT provides a supportive and responsive academic environment where learners are guided toward the development of relevant knowledge, skills, values, and competencies. Through appropriate curricular offerings, effective instructional strategies, and systematic evaluation, the institution continuously works toward improving the quality of teaching and learning.
The different parameters under Area II provide the framework for examining how the institution establishes and maintains academic standards, implements appropriate teaching-learning processes, supports faculty and student engagement, and evaluates learning outcomes. These parameters also highlight the mechanisms used by DEBESMSCAT to monitor, review, and improve its academic programs and instructional practices. Taken together, they demonstrate the institution’s continuous efforts to ensure that teaching, learning, and evaluation are aligned with institutional goals, regulatory requirements, stakeholder needs, and the changing demands of higher education.
